Getting Started: Granting Access to Your Digital Accounts

To hit the ground running, we’ll need access to a few of your accounts depending on the services we’re working on together. This page walks you through exactly what to do for each one. If anything is unclear at any point, just drop us a line at hello@seaweeddigital.ie and we’ll guide you through it.

Facebook & Instagram

We manage your Facebook Page and Instagram account through Meta Business Suite, which is Meta’s central hub for business accounts. Granting us access here means we can post content, reply to comments and messages, and collaborate with other businesses and creators on your behalf.

Step 1 : Open Meta Business Suite

Go to business.facebook.com and log in with the Facebook account that owns your business.

Step 2 : Go to Business Settings

In the left-hand menu, click Settings, then select Business Settings.

Step 3 : Add Us as a Person

In Business Settings, click People in the left menu, then click Add People. Enter the following email address:

joey.grob.ux@gmail.com

Follow the on-screen prompts and when asked to assign assets, select your Facebook Page and Instagram account. Assign the role of Admin for each. This gives us access to manage your Page, respond to comments and messages, and handle collaborations.

You’ll send an invitation to that email address. Access won’t be active until it’s been accepted, if there’s any delay, just let us know and we’ll check our end.

Step 4 : Grant Access to Your Ad Account (for Ads Management)

Page access and Ads access are kept separate in Meta, so there’s one additional step if we’re running ads for you.

Still in Business Settings, click Ad Accounts in the left menu. Select your Ad Account, then click Add People. Enter the same email address:

joey.grob.ux@gmail.com

Assign the role of Admin. This is what allows us to create, edit, and monitor ad campaigns on your behalf. Without this step, we can manage your Page but not your ads, so it’s important not to skip it if advertising is part of your plan.

TikTok

We manage your TikTok presence through TikTok Business Center, which is TikTok’s official platform for managing business accounts, content, and advertising. Granting us access here means we can manage your content, run campaigns, and track performance, all without needing your personal login.

Before you start make sure you have a TikTok Business Center account.

If you’ve only set up a standard TikTok account or a TikTok Business Account, you may not yet have a Business Center Account. You can check and set one up at business.tiktok.com. It only takes a few minutes, and you’ll need it before you can invite anyone to access your account.

Step 1 : Log in to TikTok Business Center

Go to business.tiktok.com and log in.

Step 2 : Go to Members

In the left-hand menu, click Users, then select Members.

Step 3 : Invite a Member

Click Invite Member. Enter the following email address:

hello@seaweeddigital.ie

When asked to select a role, choose Admin. This gives us full access to manage your account and assets.

Step 4 : Assign Your TikTok Account

After setting the role, you’ll be prompted to assign specific assets. Make sure your TikTok account is listed and selected here. If you don’t see it, it may not yet be linked to your Business Center Account. TikTok will show you how to connect it at this stage.

Click Confirm to send the invitation. We’ll accept from our end and you’ll be notified once we’re connected.

Shopify

We use the Shopify Partner programme to access client stores, this is Shopify’s official, secure method for agencies. It doesn’t affect your staff account limit and doesn’t require you to share your login details.

Step 1 : Go to your Shopify Admin

Log in to your store at yourstore.myshopify.com/admin.

Step 2 : Open Settings

Click Settings in the bottom-left corner, then select Users and permissions.

Step 3 : Manage Collaborators

Scroll down to the Collaborators section. You’ll see an option to either approve a collaborator request or generate a collaborator request code.

Send the code to us at hello@seaweeddigital.ie and we’ll submit our access request from our end. Alternatively, if we’ve already sent you a request, you’ll see it here waiting for your approval.

Step 4 : Approve Access and Set Permissions

Once the request comes through, you’ll be asked to choose which parts of your store we can access. We’ll let you know in advance exactly which permissions we need, typically products, themes, and orders depending on your project. To keep from needing to go back and forth as the project progresses, it’s often easier to grant admin access from the start.

Click Approve to confirm and we’re in.

WordPress

The cleanest way to give us WordPress access is to invite us as a dedicated Administrator user. This keeps your own login completely separate, gives us everything we need to do the work, and can be removed easily when a project wraps up with no passwords shared at any point.

Step 1 : Log in to WordPress

Go to your WordPress dashboard at yourwebsite.com/wp-admin and log in.

Step 2 : Go to Users

In the left-hand menu, click Users, then Add New User.

Step 3 : Fill in the Details

Enter the following:

Make sure Send User Notification is checked, this is what sends us the invitation to set up our own password and log in.

Step 4 : Click Add New User

That’s it. We’ll receive an email invitation, set our own password, and we’re ready to go. You never need to share any credentials.

If you have any questions about any of the above, we’re always happy to jump on a quick call!

Reach us at hello@seaweeddigital.ie and we’ll sort it out together.
